Because guards are independent contractors, they can accept or decline offers. Guard Select is built for this, with clear notifications, backup guard options, and admin oversight so a replacement pathway is always available.
How do guards get work?
Guards create a profile, complete verification steps, set availability, and can receive suitable job opportunities through the platform.
Do I have to leave my current job to join?
No. Guards on Guard Select are independent contractors and set their own availability. Most guards keep their existing role and pick up additional shifts around it, taking on as much or as little work as suits them.
What does it cost a guard to join?
Guards join on a low weekly subscription that keeps their profile visible to clients, and you can manage or cancel it at any time. A simple three percent platform fee applies to completed labour hours and is shown clearly before every booking.
How much work can I expect?
That is up to you. You choose your availability and which offers you accept, so guards who keep an active, well-presented profile and respond promptly tend to be selected more often. Joining makes you visible to clients, but it does not guarantee a set number of shifts.
How does payment work?
Clients complete payment through the platform. Payments and booking status are tracked through Guard Select. Guard payout and payment release are managed according to the platform workflow and terms.
Can clients rebook the same guard?
Yes. Clients can save and rebook preferred guards where the guard is available and suitable for the booking.
